Rock Recovery Gala Day 2026
Help more people access life-saving eating disorder treatment!
I'm really excited about and hope you'll join me for a: Rock Recovery x Barre3 Fundraiser Event!
This event is especially meaningful to me personally. I started working with Rock Recovery in 2018—the same year I began working at the Barre3 front desk. I have continued to go to B3 classes over the years and this past summer I became a Board Member at Rock. Seeing these two communities come together feels like a full-circle moment, and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you.
On Saturday, March 21st from 12–12:45pm, I am hosting a special pay-what-you-can class at Barre3 Old Town in partnership with Rock Recovery, a local DMV-based nonprofit that supports people struggling with eating disorders. The class will be led by my friend, Caitlin, and all proceeds go directly to Rock Recovery's scholarship fund, helping make their programs accessible to those who need them most.
I am asking for donations in support of Rock Recovery's critical work. Rock is busier than ever as they continue to grow in their mission to serve as many incredible clients as possible. Here are a few exciting updates...
- Rock has doubled its capacity, now serving more than 100 clients weekly
- They are now a full-time staff of seven (up from five last year!)
- They've been in-network with BlueCross BlueShield and UHC/Optum for a few years now, and have recently added Aetna and Virginia Medicaid as insurance partners as part of a strategic plan to increase access
As you can imagine, with such tremendous growth, there are always challenges. Insurance reimbursement rates are low, but the number of clients in need of their services continues to grow.
Thank you so much for your support!
