Your donation will directly care for more families like Ginger’s in the year ahead and provide transformational therapy and support services for our incredible clients.

Devoted to her daughter’s well-being, Ginger spent six years trying everything she could to get her young daughter the help she needed to fight her anorexia diagnosis. After years of hospitalizations, treatments, and therapy, Ginger’s daughter still wasn’t quite herself, and Ginger felt lost.

Everyday she was alive, I was thankful. But living with the rigorous schedules of therapies, hospitalizations, in and out of treatments, meal prepping and feedings that could last for hours were, at times, so grueling, I thought there was no way we could ever overcome, nor sustain this.

Our therapists at Rock Recovery understand that the journey to recovery isn’t linear or easy, and they bring forth a compassionate, community-based approach to our therapy programs to ensure no client ever feels untreatable, helpless, or alone. It wasn’t until Ginger’s teenage daughter became a participant in Rock Recovery’s first-ever Teen Bridge to Life therapy group that she found complete freedom from her struggle with anorexia.

[Rock Recovery] took Ellie in out of the cold and away from my protective grip, and she began to take her recovery into her own hands. They offered us a sliding scale and without it, we never could have afforded this final victory. They gave us flexible schedules, encouragement, and hope. My daughter learned to speak the voice of her heart and articulate her pain through her own words, backed by encouraging and loving therapists. The group therapy gave her a safe place to practice being herself without judgment. They just somehow knew how to reach my child, without going through food.

Rock Recovery has big plans for 2024, and will continue to care for the underserved and vulnerable in our community who meet the greatest barriers in accessing the treatment they need. In addition to welcoming another Teen Bridge to Life cohort in February, Rock will also be implementing a Bridge to Life group therapy program for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) to create a safe space for those seeking group therapy for disordered eating and body image issues. Rock is eager to grow and expand our client base in 2024, but we can’t do it without you. Your financial support ensures we are able to meet clients where they’re at, and provide the critical, life-saving treatment that’s needed.

[My daughter] smiles and eats and lives her best life yet. She has joy and is able to share that joy with others. Her journey is now her gift, and from the bottom of my heart, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rock Recovery. For those souls that donate and give without ever being thanked…thank you…you save so many lives, and I pray that God blesses you abundantly.”
